Cricket is Back

16 Jul 2020

Yes, cricket is back.

The Welsh Government this week published its guidance for a phased return of Sport, Recreation and Leisure at https://gov.wales/sport-recreation-and-leisure-guidance-phased-return, we have also had guidance from Cricket Wales and the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) with Step 4 of the ECB Roadmap), which can be found here

We are very grateful to ECB , CW and WG for their efforts in helping the game return,  which now permits organised outdoor activity for up to 30 people and which therefore allows recreational cricket to return in Wales.

We have planned over 30 matches already between the juniors and seniors starting with the a trip to Llechryd on Saturday with a Senior X1 followed by our U13s at home on Monday against Dafen. All fixtures can be found on the Match Centre for each team.

Our All Stars programme will commence on Friday 24th July at 5pm. This will be for 7 weeks.

We will be entering the SWCA  T20 cup. The draw is being announced soon and we will share this online in due course.

Further guidance specific to Wales, pertaining to the use of clubhouses and additional guidance for Officials, can be found below and will also appear on our social channels.
